Certification Hierarchy

SK ID Solutions is currently using 4 different certificate chains:

  • EE Certification Centre Root CA (EECCRCA)
  • EE-GOVCA2018
  • SK ID Solutions ROOT G1E
  • SK ID Solutions ROOT G1R.

The relations between root certificates and their subordinate CAs and the services (end-entity) are shown on the following figures below.

EECCRCA CHAIN (2010 – 2030)

EE-GOVCA2018 CHAIN (2018 – 2033)

SK ID SOLUTIONS ROOT G1E AND ROOT G1R (2021-2041)

There are two ROOT G1 chains in parallel. One is using Ellipic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and other is using RSA.

Intermediate CA certificates will be issued from two SK ID Solutions ROOT G1 chains – SK ID Solutions ROOT G1E (ECC) and SK ID Solutions ROOT G1R (RSA). End entity certificates will be issued from one CA chain at a time. SK ID Solutions ROOT G1E will be primary and SK ID Solutions ROOT G1R will be secondary CA chain.

PS. Since 08.11.2023 only SK TSA CA 2023E and SK TSA CA 2023R are in active use. Other issuing CAs will be taken into use when all the applicable legal requirements are met.
